What are the big trees in the shape of a ball on top? They are awesome....think they would grow in Ohio? The night shots are very pretty...I have always wanted to visit Australia...all of the info I have seen in the past weeks makes me want to go even more. Thanks again Patty
Hey Chris, askme anything hun, happy and glad to share this country, not unlike America, with it's deserts, mountains, surf and sea, cities and rural areas.
Ok, so Don isn't the greatest fiolmmaker around, and what's with the chinese music? lol. The rounded trees are just Moreton Bay fig trees (native to here)that have been topiaried to the round shape.
Left alone, they grow into ENORMOUS trees, with huge root buttresses (aboriginals would make sheilds from them) often with supporting ariel roots holding up the massive canopy. More here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moreton_Bay_Fig
While we are out of the country I'd like this to be the central place for our friends and family to check up on us! I'd like to see them post pics and comments of the happenings in their lives too!
