Amazing Times

This image certainly describes the past two weekends!! We have been blessed with amazing family and friends!! We thank each and every one of you who were able to take time out of your busy schedules to visit. For those who were unable to join us, we appreciate your well wishes none-the-less. To all who prepared for our parties: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!!
From each gathering we've heard the same statement, "We should be getting together like this more often!" Please take this opportunity and make it happen!!

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

Mark did receive our flight reservations yesterday. I have asked my military friends for their advise on relocating. They've all said, "Don't consider the trip started until your plane's wheels are off the ground!" Point well taken! That said, we are hoping to leave on 7/24 from Dayton and arrive in Honolulu at 8:00 p.m. (2:00 a.m. Ohio time). We will take a break there until 7/27 when we depart for down under!! We will arrive on the world's only island continent in Sydney on 7/29 at 6:30 a.m. (4:30 a.m. 7/28 Ohio time), change plane's (board our first Qantas flight!!!) and head for Canberra. We'll be in the country's capital for a few days. Mark will check in with US Embassy while the girls and I recover from jet lag! Then on the 1st of August we'll fly to Brisbane! (arrive midnight 7/31 Ohio time).

WHY MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER....

What do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.

Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache .
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.

Favor from family...

I have a favor to ask of a couple of my family members... I have to fill out a couple questions for our STAR program at the karate school, but this time we are supposed to ask family members a question and get their response from it... It is concerning courage...

The question is: Think back upon a time when you had a chance to stand up for what you believe in, which could be a time when “the crowd” was doing something wrong, dangerous or harmful and you said no or tried to talk them out of it.

And that is all that I need, but I need at least two responses... I would greatly appreciate any help that I could get...

thank ya very much and I will talk to you later!

A Simple Rose

Audrey gave to all her past and current teachers and office staff a single simple rose to simply say, "Thank You". Within those two small words is a gargantuan amount of gratitude for these people and all that they mean to our family. In the coming posts I will include more photos that were taken this morning. Above you will see Mr. Crabtree, the principal and the second photo is of Mrs. Ellis, her 5th grade teacher (also Emily's). To the teachers that have either moved on to other locales or have retired, we send our gratitude to you as well!

Sold!!

Hello!

As of 5:00 p.m. May 31st we are without real estate property! Our time as renters has begun again after a 12 year hiatus. Home is not a house, it's merely where the heart is!

The new owners of this house are wonderful people and are extremely grateful for our care taking of the house and its fixtures. We wish them many happy joy-filled years that we have been blessed to have here.
