And the last out of order post (grrr!!!) are some pics of our tour of the Sydney Opera House.

The vast majority of wood used in the SOH is native Australian woods (from the Eucalyptus family)

This is the interior of the main Concert Hall (the biggest shell)

Looking out of the SOH from the foyer of the main concert hall. The glass in the SOH is from France. It has special non-reflective properties.

View of the other shells. The tiles are not all white. Some are cream colored. They are self cleaning--hmmm, can they be purchased for home installation?

Another view of the tiles (and the gorgeous Sydney skies)

This is looking out at the Harbor Bridge from the Theater shell.

Another view of the shells, this makes them appear all white. I love the gleaming sunlight!

Taking a break on the steps with my favorite gals!!

Mark and his devoted daughters!

Looking eastward from the same steps toward Centennial Gardens.
Many Thanks to the Calder Family (minus Xavier-he was with his grandparents) (our hosts who prepared dinner for us on Friday and escorted us around Olympic Park and taught us how to play cricket!!)

Thanks to Johnno and Patty for their suggestions on what to do in Sydney! We didn't get to all of them, so shucks, I guess we'll have to schedule another trip! What a pity!!
